In July 2026, the leadership of Wood Pallets for Europe met with the Environment Counsellors of Belgium and Italy for an exchange on the implementation of the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and the forthcoming Circular Economy Act (CEA).
With the PPWR now entering the implementation phase, the discussion provided an opportunity to share the sector’s recommendations and practical considerations to support its effective application. The exchange also covered the Circular Economy Act – expected to be released by the end of 2026 – with the Alliance outlining its priorities and the Counsellors sharing their perspectives ahead of the Commission’s proposal and the subsequent legislative process.
The Alliance will continue its dialogue with policymakers and looks forward to the forthcoming publication of the Circular Economy Act proposal.
